![]() ![]() hitting Clip:Transcode/Consolidate: and selecting Apple Prores MXF sends an error and doesn't accept the transcode because it recognizes that it already is that same format. This than converts it directly to Apple Prores HD(1080p) upon import. You can choose from a number of formats such as Apple Prores MXF. ![]() under the options and resolution the format was set to DNxHD 120 Meanwhile, I just realized that when doing a simple File:import. Yes, when linking to AMA volume the avchd 1080p25 converts to 1080i50 h.264 ![]() I really have no idea so any help would be great I just want the naitive or highest quality to be used So basically all three versions, the imported, ama linked, and ama transcoded can all be brought into the sequence and edited. When importing the files directly (with link to AMA volume) the import take quite awhile because it converts it upon import to DNxHD 120 (1080p) This is obviously incorrect and from here I can transcode them to App Prores or DNxHD 1080p but I would think there would be some quality loss due to the clips being already imported in as 1080i and h.264 When you import the clips by: import: link to AMA volume. I've got all the AMA plugins downloaded though and would assume that there is a way to do this simply within avid by transcoding the files to an MXF file or something? I have done some research and all that have come up thus far is this software fro $30.00 Does anyone know what the best/loseless quality settings to import and transcode the footage that this camera creates? ![]()
